Job summary

HNTB is seeking a lead engineer in Raleigh, NC to oversee design calculations, technical reports and plans for diverse projects. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with project managers to meet schedules and budgets, while ensuring quality deliverables across disciplines.

The role involves planning, researching, and solving engineering challenges, developing detailed designs, and coordinating with clients and partners to deliver on scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and distribute discipline-specific work and manage schedule/budget.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Develop scope of work and level of effort for projects within discipline.
• Oversee completeness and accuracy of team work and mentor staff toward objectives.
• Coordinate technical aspects with client counterpart and teaming partners.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Recruit, hire, develop and retain staff and manage timecards.
