Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Roadway/Site Engineer in Albuquerque, NM. You will own projects from inception to completion, developing work plans, budgets, and fee proposals while coordinating with clients and teams to ensure timely, quality delivery.

Your background includes a civil engineering degree, PE licensure, and 7–10 years in civil design (drainage, utilities, roads). Proficiency in Civil 3D, MS Office, and Bluebeam is preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering.
• 3 years of Civil Professional Engineering (PE) licensure experience.
• 7-10 years of progressive civil design experience (drainage, utility, roadway, development).
• Strong project management and project delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Development of project work plans and scopes of work.
• Provide project oversight and schedule monitoring.
• Prepare fee proposals and track and manage project budgets and invoicing.
• Prepare roadway, grading, drainage, water, and sewer plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Produce project deliverables including technical memoranda, design plans, specs, and reports.
• Administer quality assurance for project deliverables.
• Prepare calculations, specs, and permitting in various jurisdictions.
• Prepare cost opinions for projects through development stages and bidding.
• Manage and design development and redevelopment projects for private and public clients.
• Collaborate with Horrocks practice leaders on multi-disciplinary pursuits.
• Maintain communications with clients and project teams.
• Technical reporting and presentations.
• Construction observation and coordination with contractors.
• Ensure staff resources are deployed productively and meetings balance needs.
