Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Civil Roadway Engineer/Project Manager in Albuquerque, NM to lead transportation design from concept through final design. You will coordinate across disciplines, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor junior staff to ensure quality deliverables for local clients and state DOT projects.

The role requires a PE license or the ability to obtain one, 7–10 years of post-education experience, and strong leadership and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience in engineering and civil design.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain one.
• Proficient with civil design, permitting, and project-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept to final design, ensuring scope, schedule, cost and quality targets.
• Coordinate with planning, environmental, roadway, structures, hydraulics, drainage and traffic teams.
• Mentor junior staff and manage staffing needs for projects.
• Oversee preparation of plans, specifications, proposals and RFC packages.
• Represent WSP in client meetings and industry associations.
