Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Senior Roadway Design Engineer in Reno, NV to lead roadway design teams on a variety of transportation projects. You will design interstates, interchanges, and arterial roadways while preparing plans, reports, and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
• 8–15+ years of roadway design experience.
• Experience with transportation agencies preferred.
• Proficiency with Bentley/AutoCAD software listed.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze interstates, freeways, highways, interchanges, and roadways.
• Prepare studies, reports, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and sub-consultant coordination.
• Interface with state and local agencies.
• Coordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholders.
• Lead roadway design teams and manage projects end-to-end.
• Assist in proposals and oral presentations.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary staff to complete projects.
