Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Professional Engineer for Roadway in Albuquerque, NM, to lead roadway design and analyses for freeway and highway projects from start to finish. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and ensure quality, budget, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required
• PE license in state of employment or ability to obtain within 1 year
• 5-10 years of roadway transportation engineering experience
• Experience with multidisciplinary project teams
• Solid knowledge of AASHTO roadway design criteria
• Proficiency with Bentley and/or Autodesk civil design software
• Knowledge of DOT standards and plan preparation procedures
• Drainage or traffic engineering experience a plus
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of freeways, interstates, interchanges and roadways
• Prepare studies, reports, memos, plans, specs, and cost estimates
• Lead roadway design discipline and coordinate with other disciplines
• Support project managers with client relations and stakeholder coordination
• Take ownership of projects from start to finish with quality, budget and schedule in mind
• Interface with coworkers to achieve shared success
