Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Design-Build Roadway Lead/Manager to spearhead transportation design efforts within the Mountain West region. This role involves leading engineering teams on freeway, interchanges, and urban highways, coordinating with discipline leads, and driving projects from pursuit through delivery.

The candidate will oversee roadway design, analysis, reports, and plans, with expertise in MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Current PE license (preferred states: UT, NV, AZ, ID, CO, NM, WA).
• 10+ years of transportation infrastructure design experience.
• 5+ years leading roadway design for infrastructure projects.
• 3+ years of DOT DB or PDB experience.
• Strong client and team leadership and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway discipline engineering teams for Transportation DB/PDB pursuits and projects.
• Coordinate with other discipline leads.
• Integral member of the project management and delivery team.
• Lead roadway design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specifications, and quantity tasks.
• Knowledge of MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D; apply standard software.
• Operate as a team leader and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff.
• Open to local and Rocky Mountain Region-wide projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients, staff, and management.
• Proven history of meeting project deadlines.
• Grow personally and professionally within a collaborative team.
