Job summary

Parkland Community Health Plan is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse for the Medicine Progressive Care Unit. The role requires a registered nurse with 2+ years of experience, capable of coordinating care and guiding a multidisciplinary team on the night shift.

Qualified candidates will hold a Texas RN license (or compact) and BLS certification, with BSN preferred. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring safe transitions and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license or temporary RN license (Texas) or Compact license.
• Must have BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• 2+ years of nursing experience; acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in Medicine Progressive Care Unit.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and respond to changes in condition.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team and communicate with families.
• Mentor and precept newer staff; rotate as Charge Nurse when needed.
• Complete accurate documentation and ensure patient safety.
