Job summary

The Valley Health System's Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas seeks a registered nurse to provide safe, patient-centered care in a busy unit. The role emphasizes leadership support to the care team and adherence to service excellence.

Candidates should have an accredited nursing program graduate with BSN preferred; 1 year full-time or 3 years part-time acute care experience; active Nevada RN license, BLS; PALS or NRP as required by department. VHS offers strong benefits and a path for advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• One-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of Nevada.
• Current BLS Certification, Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
