Job summary

The Valley Health System's Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas seeks a registered nurse to provide safe, compassionate care in a busy acute care environment. This role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration with the healthcare team within hospital standards.

RN license in NV, BLS, and PALS/NRP as required; BSN preferred. Pre-employment assessments are part of the process; 1-year full-time or 3 years part-time acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• BSN is preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of Nevada.
• Current BLS Certification, Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
