CIBC is seeking an experienced professional to support the structuring and execution of RMBS transactions from pitch to close in the New York market. The role emphasizes deep mortgage securitization knowledge and collaboration with internal partners, clients and rating agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of RMBS structuring, securitization, mortgage analytics, or related roles.
• Deep knowledge of deal mechanics across residential mortgage sectors including Non-QM, Investor, Jumbo, Agency Investor, RTL.
• Advanced quantitative skills; proficient in Excel; experience with Intex Dealmaker, Intex Calc, CAS, VBA, Bloomberg.
• Strong understanding of collateral analysis, cash flow modeling, rating agency methodologies, and transaction documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Values-driven approach aligned with trust, teamwork, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full structuring process for non-Agency RMBS transactions, from early-stage pitching through transaction close.
• Use Intex Deal Maker to construct cash flow waterfalls, ensuring correct modeling of features like sequential/pro rata pay and deal triggers.
• Partner with the banking team to support rating agency processes and sizing of credit enhancements.
• Ensure offering documents reflect structuring assumptions and outputs.
• Run stress testing and scenario analyses (prepayments, defaults, severities).
• Coordinate with stakeholders on internal model development and maintenance.
