Job summary

Fitch Ratings is seeking a Senior Analyst for the Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities Group (RMBS) in New York. The role collaborates on transaction analyses, builds cashflow models, and presents reviews at rating committees while developing understanding of legal and accounting issues affecting securities.

The candidate will analyze credit, legal and structural elements of RMBS, contribute to ratings criteria, and produce high-quality reports for internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience (excluding internships).
• Experience in capital markets, mortgage markets, or credit analysis is a plus.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze critical credit, legal and structural elements of RMBS transactions.
• Assist in developing ratings criteria and writing relevant reports.
• Produce internal and external written reports including committees and market commentary.
• Communicate Fitch rating methodology to issuers and investors.
• Deploy cashflow models and tools used in the rating process.
• Lead and/or support research projects.
• Maintain assigned rating relationships.
