Job summary
Fitch Ratings is seeking a Director in the Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities Group (RMBS) to lead end-to-end RMBS analyses and chair rating committees. You will mentor analysts, engage with issuers and investors, and contribute to criteria development in New York or Chicago.
The role requires 8+ years in RMBS/ABS or related markets, a bachelor’s degree, and strong modeling and communication skills. Hybrid work is available with in-office days depending on location.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in RMBS/ABS or related capital markets
- Bachelor's degree; CFA/FRM a plus
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end analysis of RMBS transactions including collateral, structural and legal assessments
- Own cash flow modeling, scenario design and sensitivity analysis
- Present recommendations at rating committees and document decisions to a high standard
- Drive criteria application and contribute to methodology enhancements
- Produce high-quality research and issuer/investor communications
- Manage relationships with issuers, arrangers, and investors
- Coach and review junior analysts to ensure analytical rigor
- Monitor market developments and translate insights into viewpoints
