Fitch Ratings is seeking an Associate Director for Structured Finance - RMBS in a hybrid model. The role leads end-to-end RMBS analysis, assesses credit, cash flow, legal, and structural risks, and mentors junior staff.

You will engage issuers, arrangers, and investors and contribute to thought leadership. You will chair or present at rating committees, drive criteria application, and produce market research and issuer communications.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of RMBS/ABS experience with strong analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s degree; CFA/FRM a plus.
• Proficient cash flow modeling and handling large datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with senior stakeholders.
• Collaborative in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead primary and surveillance analysis of RMBS transactions, including collateral, structural, legal, and counterparty assessments.
• Own cash flow modeling, scenario design, and sensitivity analysis; oversee model deployment and results interpretation.
• Present recommendations at rating committees and document decisions to a high standard.
• Drive criteria application and contribute to criteria development and methodological enhancements.
• Produce high-quality research, market commentary, and issuer/investor communications.
• Manage and deepen issuer/transaction relationships; represent Fitch in meetings.
• Coach and review junior/senior analysts to ensure rigor and consistency.
• Monitor market developments and regulatory changes; translate insights into viewpoints.
