Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Senior RMA Failure Analysis Engineer to investigate customer-returned RMAs, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions that improve customer satisfaction and product quality across RF generators, DC generators, matching networks, and high-voltage products.

You will work with Global Service, Quality, Operations and Engineering to analyze field failures, identify trends, and develop solutions to reduce future escapes and boost field performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 3 years.
• Experience with root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions preferred.
• Familiarity with quality methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, and CAPA processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate failure analysis reports for internal and external customers.
• Review warranty and non-warranty RMAs to support field quality reporting.
• Collaborate with Operations to mitigate field escape risks.
• Lead or participate in 8D teams to resolve problems.
• Identify and communicate probable root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain integrity of failure data and describe conditions, symptoms, and failure modes.
• Identify trends and provide quantitative analyses of findings.
• Mentor others on investigation techniques and historical trends.
