Job summary

POWEREX, INC. seeks a Senior Failure Analysis Specialist to lead root-cause investigations of high‑impact RMAs and internal failures. You will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement long-term corrective actions and drive product improvements.

You will coordinate documentation, report outcomes, and support supplier quality initiatives while maintaining strong analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in applicable field and two years of failure analysis/quality experience.
• Basic training in quality management system standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, TQM).
• Root cause analysis training and soldering standard (J-STD-001).

JOB DESCRIPTION:The Senior Failure Analysis Specialist leads complex investigations of product returns and drives quality improvements across the organization. This position manages escalated RMA cases and collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve recurring product issues and implement corrective actions. The role requires strong analytical skills, effective leadership, and the ability to influence continuous improvement throughout the quality process.WORKING PROCEDURES:Lead root cause investigations for high-impact or recurring RMA cases and internal failuresWork with engineering and quality teams to develop and implement solutions for long-term corrective actions.Present findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholdersCoordinate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing on product improvement initiativesCoordinate the documentation and reporting of all analysis activities and outcomesContribute to supplier quality improvement by sharing insights from field returnsBe able to complete any tasks in lower analysis jobsDIRECTION OF OTHERS:Coordinate with production to identify and address testing requirementsDIRECTION RECEIVED:Works under normal supervision.
