Job summary

H. T. PROF Group seeks a skilled electronics technician to troubleshoot, repair, and analyze returned products.

You will perform component-level repairs, collect data, and mentor junior technicians while supporting test system development and collaboration with product teams. Responsibilities include root-cause analysis, designing and maintaining test fixtures, and contributing to troubleshooting protocols.

Qualifications

Associate degree or military electronics training or equivalent experience.
5+ years in component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronics.
Experience soldering fine-pitch SMT and through-hole PCB.
Experience with microprocessor- and microcontroller-based products.
Experience troubleshooting analog circuits.
Prefer experience with switching power supplies.
Prefer experience developing automated test systems.
IPC soldering certification preferred.
Able to read schematics and use oscilloscopes and multimeters.
Able to solder through-hole and fine-pitch components.
Knowledge of lab safety.
Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Willing to mentor junior technicians.
MS Windows and MS Office basic proficiency.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot failures and perform root-cause analysis on returned electronic products.
Perform component-level repairs on returned devices.
Collect repair data and maintain a repair database.
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians.
Design, build, and maintain test fixtures and systems (hardware, software, and mechanical).
Develop and document troubleshooting protocols.
Provide feedback to product development for design improvements.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
