Job summary

The James Allen Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Risk Control Consultant to join our team supporting clients in San Antonio and the Texas Gulf Coast region.

You will conduct advanced risk assessments, identify exposures, and recommend practical loss-prevention measures to improve client safety and strengthen underwriting decisions. You will work independently and with underwriting and agency partners to deliver tailored risk control services, develop program improvements, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in Risk Control, Loss Control, or a similar commercial insurance safety consulting role.
• Experience with commercial accounts in industries such as construction, forestry, public entities, and oil & gas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk control evaluations and safety assessments for commercial accounts.
• Identify hazards, evaluate exposures, and develop recommendations to minimize risks and prevent losses.
• Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and communicate findings to clients and underwriters.
• Analyze loss history and claims trends to identify areas of concern and corrective actions.
• Partner with underwriting teams to provide technical insight supporting account decisions.
• Develop and improve workplace safety programs and loss prevention strategies.
• Provide safety training and education resources to client teams.
