Job summary

Alexander & Schmidt in Amarillo, TX seeks a Senior Insurance Loss Control Consultant to perform inspections and prepare in-depth reports for underwriting. You will assess risks across commercial properties and advise on loss prevention measures.

This role requires extensive field experience, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to travel within a 50-mile radius. Primary focus includes Hazard analysis, regulatory compliance, and documentation through client portals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience with a major carrier or working as an independent loss control contractor.
• Extensive understanding of commercial property and casualty lines.
• Ability to assess sprinkler systems based on occupancy, commodities and racking.
• Knowledge of Inland Marine coverages (builders risk, contractor’s equipment, motor truck cargo, etc.).
• Experience with CGL, premises, operations, products and completed operations.
• Familiar with regulatory compliance and workplace safety in loss control.
• Strong writing, communication and organizational skills.
• Certifications CSP/OHST/ALCM/ARM preferred but not required.
• Ability to upload reports and drawings to reporting portals.
• Willingness to travel within a 50 mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and prepare in-depth reports for underwriting purposes.
• Provide risk analysis and loss control recommendations to clients.
• Develop and deliver risk improvement training and consulting services.
• Coordinate reporting uploads and maintain client documentation.
• Travel within the defined territory to client sites as needed.
