Job summary

Acuity Insurance seeks a Senior Risk Control Consultant to lead risk assessments for the Commercial Underwriting Department, delivering detailed survey reports and expert guidance to policyholders and agents.

You will identify loss exposures, recommend strategies to reduce claims, travel within the assigned territory (including Waco, Temple and College Station areas) and develop customized safety programs in collaboration with clients.

Qualifications

• Ten years experience in risk control with a multi-line insurer.
• CSP, ALCM, CFPS or similar professional designations preferred.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Collects information on prospects and policyholders to assess underwriting conformance.
• Prepares objective reports that evaluate accounts against peers.
• Meets report quality, productivity and timeliness goals.
• Conducts service calls to assist policyholders with hazard controls.
• Utilizes resources such as A.M. Best, NFPA, OSHA and DOT.
• Supports safety meetings and training sessions at policyholder locations.
• Develops knowledge of insureds' needs and investigates exposures and hazards.
• Maintains contacts with agency personnel and travels as needed.
