Job summary

Capital One in Richmond, VA seeks an experienced Senior Risk Manager to lead high-profile financial crimes risk initiatives within Global Payment Network Risk Operations. You will apply project management, analytics and AML/sanctions expertise to identify and mitigate risks while collaborating with executives and cross-functional partners.

You will document controls, develop risk frameworks, and guide business units through policy and procedure enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• 7+ years of Financial Services Risk Management or Compliance Experience in anti-financial crimes.
• 7+ years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal compliance, legal, and business clients.

Responsibilities

• Understanding, documenting and analyzing current state capabilities regarding anti-money laundering, sanctions, or financial crimes risk management.
• Write and revise documents such as policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Develop and enhance processes, tools, templates, and job aides. Write, contribute to, edit, and deliver presentations that aid in the design, development, refinement, and usage of Risk methods.
• Collaborate effectively across multiple organizations such as Operational Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Business Risk Offices, Operational Risk Sub-Steward organizations, Information Technology, Basel Program, Internal Audit, Regulator Relations, etc. to achieve objectives.
