Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Senior Risk Control Consultant to provide expert risk assessments for large, complex accounts. The role focuses on field engagement, working closely with Underwriting, Claims, and Risk Control teams to evaluate hazards and controls, and to communicate actionable recommendations.

The ideal candidate will bring seven years in safety/risk control, a relevant degree, and certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM, or CFPS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, basic sciences, or related technical fields.
• Seven years of experience in safety, risk control/management, or related field.
• Certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS—preferred or required depending on state.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent field presence, spending 20%–50% of time onsite with customers.
• Partner with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow a profitable book of business.
• Build relationships with Underwriting, Claim, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers to service customers as a unified team.
• Complete risk assessment evaluations for Construction accounts with high complexity and exposure.
• Write technically detailed reports that communicate risk assessments and recommendations.
