Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking a Risk Claims Manager in the Compliance department to lead auto liability and workers' compensation claims. This exempt, individual-contributor role reports to the Senior Director of Compliance and will manage property and auto damage claims, ensuring sound settlements and regulatory compliance.

This position offers potential remote work and a path to influence loss reduction while collaborating with insurers and defense counsel.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of senior-level claims experience.
• Extensive liability claims administration knowledge.
• Understanding of complex medical treatments, tort, venue, and jurisdictional matters.
• Strong independent decision-making and negotiation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage company claims; work with insurers to set reserves.
• Escalate claims during intake and gather information for resolution.
• Manage property, auto, and workers' compensation claims; coordinate with defense counsel.
• Provide excellent customer service to insureds/claimants by phone.
• Prepare statistical reports of claims activity and lead file reviews.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and minimize losses.
• Maintain professional conduct and collaborate with staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
