Located near Kansas City, KS, or with remote flexibility, the position offers a salary of $85,000–$95,000 with full benefits and reports to the Senior Director of Compliance.

Qualifications

• Seven years of senior-level claims experience in an individual-contributor role.
• Extensive knowledge of liability claims administration and litigation avoidance.
• Strong investigative and analytical abilities; understanding of medical treatments and torts.
• Proven independent decision-making and negotiation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Personally investigate and manage the company's claims.
• Work with insurance companies to set claim reserves.
• Escalate complex claims during intake and gather information for resolution.
• Directly manage property damage, auto damage, and workers' compensation claims; coordinate defense as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to insureds/claimants by phone.
• Prepare statistical reports of claims activity and lead file reviews.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and minimize claim losses.
• Create a positive, professional work atmosphere and collaborate with others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
