Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Risk Advisor to provide audit and advisory services across non-insurance operating assets, partnering with management to strengthen processes and internal controls. Reporting to the Financial Audit & MAR Manager, you will help design, implement, and monitor enterprise controls across subsidiaries.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) with 5+ years of experience (7+ years if no degree).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in related field; or 7+ years in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist Audit Manager in performing audit and advisory engagements.
• Utilize COSO framework to design, implement, and monitor entity-level controls.
• Analyze processes to identify risks, gaps, and mitigation strategies.
• Document processes, risks, and testing procedures.
• Provide training and guidance on risk identification and remediation.
• Perform audits and report findings.
• Develop corrective action plans and validate remediation.
