Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Risk Advisor to provide audit and advisory services across its non-insurance operating assets. You will partner with management to strengthen internal controls and governance across subsidiaries, reporting to the Financial Audit & MAR Manager.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, a bachelor’s or advanced degree, and preferred CPA/CIA credentials. Hybrid flex work, with compensation aligned to market ranges and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in audit, risk, or controls.
• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree; in lieu of degree, 7+ years of related experience.
• CPA or CIA certifications are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Audit Manager in audits and advisory engagements on major initiatives.
• Apply COSO framework to design and monitor entity-level controls.
• Analyze processes to identify risks, gaps, and mitigation options.
• Document processes, risks, controls, and testing procedures.
• Provide training and guidance on risk identification and mitigation.
• Perform ad-hoc audits and report findings.
