Job summary

Bowman Consulting seeks a Right of Way Director to lead the ROW department in the Northeast U.S. You will supervise and guide staff, manage client engagements, budgets, and schedules, and coordinate cross-functionally to deliver complex ROW projects.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in ROW with supervisory experience, deep knowledge of ROW processes, permitting, title and regulatory issues, and a proven track record in managing engineering business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent ROW experience required.
• 15+ years in land/right of way skills and experience.
• 5+ years supervisory ROW experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ROW, including project management, acquisition, title, permitting, budgeting, and regulatory issues.
• Experience managing financial, marketing, HR and operations of an engineering dept.
• Ability to read construction/engineering plans.
• Proficient in MS Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with databases.
• Valid driver's license; multilingual a plus; real estate license preferred or obtainable in 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Meet with prospective clients, prepare proposals, set budgets and schedules.
• Supervise ROW project personnel to professional standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments to meet project requirements.
• Provide senior technical input on projects and oversee strategy and direction.
• Support marketing efforts to establish and grow client relationships.
• Monitor project progress, costs and billing; keep within budgets.
• Travel as required to meet client needs and project sites.
