Job summary

Percheron LLC in Dallas seeks a Sr. Right of Way Agent with strong experience in title, permitting, acquisition and documentation to support construction projects.

You will commute daily to the client office in Dallas, coordinate with agents, and ensure timely, compliant land rights transactions. The role requires reviewing land ownership, negotiating leases and easements, preparing reports, and interpreting alignment sheets and plats.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in the Right of Way industry.
• Excellent knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies for right of way/real property acquisition.
• Knowledge of settlement instruments and contract terms.
• Strong understanding of property valuation, survey drawings, and alignments sheets.
• Experience with acquisition & relocation documents, notices, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to plan, organize workload, and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Ability to complete right-of-way transactions independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication, customer-focused.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Research, negotiate and elect to purchase land rights and rights of way for construction.
• Identify and detail ownership interests and permitting requirements; acquire permits as directed.
• Oversee land-related legal issues including transfers of titles and deeds, mortgages, and zoning.
• Prepare daily activity reports and special reports on negotiations for easements and permit acquisition.
• Conduct due diligence to ensure accuracy of land rights and address deficiencies.
• Liaise with landowners/tenants on ownership, easement rights, damage claims, and access issues.
• Review third-party development plans and ROW records to identify conflicts.
• Maintain status with supervisor to ensure assignment completion per client procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
