Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with prior field experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Proficient in safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools, as well as measurement tools.
• May require U.S. Driver License
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit-for-duty medical.
• Observe and comply with safety and project rules; perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and rigging large-scale heavy equipment.
• Position, align, or level machines, equipment, and structures.
• Shakeout and rig items for crane hoisting; follow crane signals.
• Guide rigged items into position using a tag line.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; determine time, costs, and materials.
• Inspect subordinate's work for contract compliance and correct deficiencies.
• Select rigging components and develop basic rigging procedures for load handling.
• Identify suitable rigging points and select rated rigging based on tension.
• Maintain understanding of LHE dynamics and related hazards.
