Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled rigging technician to plan, lay out, and install rigging for lifting equipment and heavy machinery on industrial sites. You will use signaling, layout, and measuring tools to ensure safe and accurate crane operations and load handling.

The role requires the ability to work on construction/industrial sites, endure outdoor conditions, and perform lifting tasks with a focus on safety and compliance with plans and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with previous field experience.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of tools and layout/measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and rig large-scale heavy equipment.
• Position, align, or level machines and structures.
• Rig items for crane hoisting with proper signaling.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities for loads and work.
• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with plans and specs.
• Select rigging components and develop basic rigging procedures.
• Identify suitable rigging points based on load tension.
• Maintain understanding of loads and hazard dynamics.
