Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Louisiana is seeking a skilled Rigging Technician to set up and rig large-scale heavy equipment on construction sites. You will work with crane hoisting and tag-line guidance to position loads safely and efficiently.

The role requires reading plans, following specifications, and maintaining awareness of rigging hazards and LHE dynamics. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are preferred; OSHA training and safety mindset are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Proficient with measurement tools and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and rig large-scale heavy equipment.
• Position, align, or level machines, equipment, and/or structures.
• RIG crane hoisting with proper signals and a tag line for guidance.
• Guide rigged items into position using a tag line.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, and time for work activities.
• Inspect work for compliance with plans and specs and correct as needed.
• Select rigging components and develop basic rigging procedures for load handling.
• Identify rigging points and choose rated rigging based on tension.
• Maintain understanding of LHE dynamics and associated hazards.
