TIC_Craft is seeking a skilled Rigging Specialist to plan and install rigging components for lifting equipment and machinery on construction sites in Louisiana. The role requires erecting and guiding loads, selecting rigging gear, and ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and safety standards.

The candidate should be able to read plans, understand crane signals, and work in a dynamic industrial environment, including long hours and travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in rigging or related field preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment selection, and safety procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with supervision.

Responsabilités

• Plan, lay-out and install rigging components for lifting and installation of equipment and structures according to plans and codes.
• Set up and rig large-scale heavy equipment and guide into position using tag lines and crane signals.
• Inspect work for compliance with plans and specifications and take corrective action when needed.
• Select rigging components and develop basic rigging procedures for load handling activities.
• Identify suitable rigging points and determine rated rigging based on anticipated tension.
• Move about construction site and work in various environments, including exposure to weather and noise.
