Job summary

Spectraforce is seeking a highly skilled RHEL Engineer to support a financial services client by automating OS security and patching, and to lead the strategy and execution of CI/CD components for faster remediation and upgrades.

In this role you will bridge current state architecture and a modern, automated upgrade workflow, collaborate with Red Hat Engineering, and drive design sessions to identify automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with RHEL deployments, hardening, and operations.
• Proven ability to design and automate CI/CD processes to speed deployments.
• Strong proficiency with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and workflows.
• Knowledge of Kpatch and applicable use cases; Python skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Architecture Design: identify upgrade pain points and design future state processes.
• Automation & Execution: build automation for patching, snapshot, upgrade, and rollback.
• Validation & Documentation: create standard upgrade workflows and knowledge-base assets.
• Technical Oversight & Facilitation: lead workshops, coordinate with Red Hat, report progress weekly.
