Job summary

GlideFast Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Red Hat Linux (RHEL) Administrator for our Managed Services team. You will support self-hosted enterprise apps, patching, hardening, monitoring, automation, and production uptime in a client-facing role.

You will participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, collaborate across teams, and drive resolution with clear runbooks and documented processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Linux systems administration in production.
• Experience with high-availability, SLA-driven environments.
• Strong patching, hardening, performance analysis, and incident response.
• Experience in managed services or customer-facing environments preferred.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow and enterprise workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain RHEL environments for mission-critical apps.
• Perform system patching, OS upgrades, and post-change validation.
• Manage access, sudo, SSH, and file permissions per security policies.
• Maintain core Linux services: systemd, logs, cron, networking, storage.
• Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Monitor performance and service health across environments.
• Troubleshoot OS, virtualization, storage, and network issues.
• Apply security hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with database, app, and customer teams to resolve incidents.
• Create/runbooks, automation, and health-check reports; document actions.
