Job summary

LABUSA is seeking a Senior Red Hat Linux Systems Engineer to design, automate, secure, and maintain enterprise Linux infrastructure. The role covers RHEL, Oracle Linux, virtualization, containers, automation, and mission-critical services in a primarily remote setting with periodic international travel.

The ideal candidate brings RHCSA, 5+ years of enterprise Linux experience, strong scripting and automation skills, and expertise across Docker/Podman, Tomcat/HTTP, and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional experience administering enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• RHCSA certification or equivalent.
• Experience in Python and Bash scripting, and Ansible/Puppet in multiple projects.
• Docker and/or Podman containers with Apache Tomcat/HTTP Server experience.
• Strong Linux architecture, security, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent English communication and ability to work remotely with distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot RHEL environments (RHEL 6–9) and Oracle Linux.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and Bash.
• Implement Ansible and Puppet for config management and Kickstart provisioning.
• Deploy and manage Docker/Podman containers and web servers.
• Support virtualization with VMware vSphere and Red Hat KVM.
• Coordinate with distributed teams and document procedures.
