Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking a Senior MMIC Design Engineer (RFIC Engineering) to develop next‑generation MMICs for space and ground infrastructure. You’ll work with cross‑disciplinary teams to design, simulate, package, test, and deploy MMICs that enable Starlink connectivity globally.

The role requires 5+ years in RF/microwave MMIC design, GaAs/GaN experience, and strong modeling skills using ADS/HFSS/AWR. You’ll interface with systems, firmware, and ASIC teams across programs and locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years RF/microwave circuit design experience.

Responsibilities

• Derive hardware specifications for RF system and MMIC blocks.
• Develop MMIC products from specification to mass production.
• Simulate MMIC front end circuits (PAs, LNAs, switches) with system architects and ASIC engineers.
• Package and implement MMICs, develop packages/modules with RF engineers.
• Evaluate, characterize, and analyze MMIC prototypes; assist in automated lab testing.
• Support production testing with manufacturing engineers.
