Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. RFIC Design Engineer for the Starshield team to advance next‑generation RF/analog/mixed‑signal ICs for space and ground systems.

You will design, simulate, and characterize RFICs in SiGe, GaAs, GaN or CMOS, working with system architects and ASIC engineers. This role requires 5+ years in RFIC, a Bachelor’s degree in EE or CS, and a passion for rapid iteration in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
• 5+ years of professional RFIC experience.
• Master's degree or PhD with RF/analog/mixed-signal emphasis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate and model RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems.
• Derive specifications for RFIC subsystems and circuits.
• Develop analog/mixed-signal/RF/microwave circuits in SiGe, GaAs, GaN, or CMOS.
• Collaborate with system architects, modem/DSP and ASIC engineers.
• Perform IC floor planning and layout.
• Own packaging prototypes and release to production; model parasitics.
• Evaluate and characterize design prototypes.
• Assist in automated test lab equipment development.
• Work with manufacturing engineers on production testing and qualification.
