Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced RFIC/analog/mixed-signal hardware designer for onsite roles across Bay Area, San Diego, Austin, or Kent. The role focuses on RFIC design, IoT-style verification, and collaboration with multiple engineering teams to deliver next-generation space-based communication chips.

Applicants should have a strong background in RF/Mix-Signal ASICs, Cadence toolchains, and tape-out experience, with a passion for advancing space tech and AI-enabled design workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of RFIC design experience or PhD-equivalent research.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience with RF or mixed-signal block design.
• Linux development environment experience.
• Tape-out experience on RF or deep sub-micron analog/mixed-signal chips.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RFICs and mixed-signal ASICs.
• Implement designs using Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre RF and similar tools.
• Develop analog models for verification and validation.
• Create and execute test plans for pre- and post-silicon processes.
• Collaborate with systems, firmware, architecture, and product engineering.
• Address design/layout issues and timing/congestion challenges.
