Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking a senior signals/ modem design engineer to join the TeraWave Custom Silicon team. You will develop models and algorithms for packet processing, drive low power and high performance, and target FPGA/ASIC implementations across pre- and post-silicon validation.

This is an on-site role at Bay Area, San Diego, Austin, or Kent, with a temporary remote-work exception during site development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Signal processing or Modem design and development.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Experience with networking , modem MAC and PHY , DSP , RF and/or Mixed Signal designs
• Experience with MATLAB, SystemC, C/C++ or other System level tools
• Knowledge of DSP and communications systems including spread spectrum, forward error correction, and modulation types (OFDM, QPSK, QAM, PCM/FM, PAM)

Responsibilities

• Develop models and algorithm for the TeraWave Custom Silicon, This includes packet processing, MAC, PHY, Radio DSP
• Drive for lowest power consumption and highest performance
• Target your algorithms for FPGA and ASIC implementation,
• Support the ASIC implementation thru Pre-silicon verification
• Design advanced Digital end to end communication systems
• Develop and model Channel impairments models
• Work collaboratively with ASIC , RFIC and SW implementation teams
• Work with the application team to Bring up prototype pre-silicon and support all post-silicon to validate your architecture performance
