Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking an RF Test Engineer to lead the design and bring-up of HITL testbeds and EGSE used in satellite assembly, integration, and test.

You will work hands-on to shape future infrastructure while coordinating with electrical missions teams. The role requires on-site presence at our San Jose facility, collaborating with cross-functional teams of electrical, software, mechanical, and industrial controls engineers to translate concepts into test-ready hardware.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with complex electromechanical systems
• Background in electrical, embedded software, mechanical, or industrial controls
• Experience designing hardware others build and use
• Experience using RF testing equipment
• Ability to read schematics, block diagrams and drawings
• Strong hands-on debugging across hardware and software
• Scripting or programming (Python, Bash)
• Understanding of interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet)
• BS in engineering or equivalent hands-on experience

Responsibilities

• Lead design of future HITL testbed infrastructure and EGSE
• Lead design of next-gen EGSE for power, command, and monitor during integration
• Translate flight hardware concepts into testbed designs
• Build, integrate, and bring up testbed hardware with team
• Create and maintain testbed architecture diagrams and interfaces
• Debug hardware and interfaces across teams to root cause
• Coordinate with supply chain, production, and facilities on testbed resources
• Mentor junior engineers and scale testbed designs with satellite fleet
