Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Richardson, TX seeks a Lead Engineer Technician II to support the MMIC Technology Center, advancing GaN/GaAs MMICs for defense radar, EW, and space systems. You’ll work with a small team to push designs from development to production and inform system trade studies.

You will perform RF characterization, fixture design, on-wafer testing, and precision work under a microscope while maintaining rigorous lab documentation and calibration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of RF experience.
• 6+ years with RF/microwave test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzers, scopes, signal generators).
• 6+ years of S-parameter, large-signal, noise figure characterization and RF troubleshooting.
• 6+ years micro-scale precision work under a microscope.
• Strong ability to read schematics, layouts and drawings.
• Solid electronics theory knowledge and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• RF characterization of MMICs and MCMs (PA, LNA, signal control).
• Set up/calibrate test equipment; perform S-parameter, Pout, NF, two-tone tests.
• On-wafer testing; design/build RF test fixtures; wire bonding.
• Troubleshoot RF circuits; generate clear technical reports.
• Maintain lab docs, traceability, and data integrity; manage calibration tracking.
• Support production transfer and collaborate across teams.
