Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Senior RF Test Engineer to validate and test RF and power electronics for SPARC, taking newly architected designs from benchtop to full-scale operation. You will perform board-level bring-up and manage high-power RF transmitter testing.

This hands-on role requires expertise in high-voltage systems, EMI/EMC mitigation, and integrating hardware with software controls. You will develop repeatable test procedures and train technicians to sustain operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 7+ years hands-on experience testing high-power RF systems, radar, particle accelerators, or related power electronics.
• Experience with high voltage components, energy storage (supercaps), and analog/digital circuitry troubleshooting.

Responsabilités

• Lead board-level bring-up, power-on, debugging, and validation of PCBAs and embedded controllers.
• Operate high-power RF transmitters and interfacing high-voltage infrastructure safely.
• Bridge hardware and software integration, ensuring timing, sensors, and data interfaces work together.
