Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems in Cambridge, MA (onsite) is seeking an RF Electronics Engineer to bring RF and power electronics from benchtop to full-scale operation. You will design control boards, power supplies, and sensing circuits for high-power solid-state RF amplifiers and work with software, RF, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in power electronics, control boards, or RF circuitry.
• Proficient in SPICE-based circuit modeling and PCB design with Altium.
• Strong EMI/EMC mitigation in high-noise, high-power environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design control boards, power supplies, and sensing circuits for high-power RF amplifiers.
• Collaborate with software, RF, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate designs.
• Write technical specifications for vendors and internal teams.
• Perform simulations and modeling to validate electronics performance.
• Assemble prototypes on the bench and transition designs into the RF system.
