Job summary

The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University seeks a Technical Engineering Project Manager to join the Trusted Systems Engineering Department. The role focuses on applying SME-level research and testing to design, development, and deployment of systems, with hybrid onsite/work-from-home options by project and frequent travel to remote locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• No required certifications.
• Experience with RF systems and DoD/IC/government projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Apply RF and acoustic system expertise to analyze designs across engineering disciplines.
• Use modeling and MBSE tools to evaluate and validate designs through lifecycle phases.
• Lead research, development, prototyping, and deployment for Navy, IC, and federal customers.
• Develop and present program status to sponsors and contractors.
• Oversee plans and proposals for new sponsored programs.
• Support ARL’s mission to discover, demonstrate, transition, and educate.
