Job summary

Penn State University is seeking a Technical Engineering Project Manager to join the Trusted Systems Engineering Department (TSED) at the ARL. The role focuses on SME-level research, testing, and deployment of RF/acoustic systems for Navy, IC, and other federal customers.

Significant travel to remote locations within and outside the continental United States is expected. On-site work is required at National Business Parkway, MD, with limited hybrid options based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Required security clearance eligibility (Top-Secret or higher) and background checks.
• Experience leading technical teams and programs in DoD/IC environments.

Responsibilities

• Apply RF and hardware expertise to near-real-time systems analysis across all engineering disciplines.
• Use MBSE and modeling tools to evaluate designs during development, testing, integration, and deployment.
• Lead research, development, prototyping, and maintenance for Navy and federal government customers.
• Develop and present program status; collaborate with sponsors and contractors.
