Job summary

Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State is seeking a highly motivated Technical Engineering Project Manager to oversee day-to-day execution of complex technical projects within the Mission Systems Department. The role serves as the nexus between technology and operations, delivering integrated solutions for real-world mission challenges, with on-site work in State College, PA.

ARL is a DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes transitioning military members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to convey technical and programmatic information clearly in writing and speaking.
• Candidate should be eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for technical projects or workstreams within larger programs.
• Define and monitor project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering, operations, and support teams to meet objectives.
• Develop and deliver technical project status reports and briefings to sponsors.
