Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a Technical Engineering Project Manager within the Trusted Systems Engineering Department (TSED) at Penn State's ARL. The role focuses on applying SME-level research and testing to design, development, and deployment of RF/acoustic systems, with frequent cross-location travel and potential limited hybrid work depending on project needs.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in passive and active RF systems.
Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
Ability to perform near-real-time analysis and design across engineering disciplines.
Proven leadership or program management experience.
Comfort with dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

Apply RF/EO/related domain expertise to perform analysis across system engineering disciplines.
Use modeling and MBSE tools to validate designs through development, test, integration and deployment phases.
Lead technical execution of R&D, prototyping, and maintenance for diverse DoD and IC customers.
Develop and present status updates to sponsors and contractors; coordinate with fleet-level personnel.
Lead and oversee development and execution of plans and proposals for new programs.
Support ARL's mission to discover, demonstrate, transition, and educate.
