Intelligent Waves is seeking an RF Engineer – SME to drive RF spectrum monitoring system design and optimization in a hybrid San Antonio, TX role. You will guide architecture, analyze RF environments, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions for defense missions.

You will mentor military personnel, deploy RF-based software on Windows/Android, and produce technical docs while collaborating with hardware and software engineers.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Education: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of systems engineering experience implementing and supporting RF systems.
• Knowledge of military and commercial communication systems (tactical radios, VHF, UHF, LMR, ADS-B, voice).
• Hands-on experience with SIGINT/COMINT systems.
• Strong understanding of RF principles and communication systems (SDRs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance in the architecture and design of RF spectrum monitoring systems.
• Identify and develop innovative RF monitoring solutions for evolving mission requirements and geolocation challenges.
• Conduct advanced analysis of RF systems using simulations to optimize performance.
• Triangulate RF interference sources and expand system capability to enhance mission success.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated and optimized system solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide training and mentorship to military personnel performing spectrum monitoring missions.
• Install, integrate, and deploy RF-based software on Windows and Android.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for research, development, testing, and evaluation standards and practices.
