Secmation in Huntsville, AL, seeks an experienced RF systems engineer to advance hands-on development of secure RF communications for national defense. You will work from design through integration, testing, and field demonstrations on SDR, radar, and EW topics in a mission-focused team.

The role emphasizes independent analysis, practical implementation, and collaboration with RF, software, and hardware engineers to deliver robust systems in contested environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in RF systems, RF engineering, SDR, radar, or related field.
• Hands-on experience developing RF communications systems from design through deployment.
• Experience with SDR frameworks and platforms such as GNU Radio, REDHAWK, USRP/UHD, Epiq, or comparable technologies.
• Experience using MATLAB or Python for RF modeling, simulation, or data analysis.
• Experience with C/C++ for embedded or systems-level applications.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to hands-on development of RF systems from design through integration, testing, and field demonstrations.
• Work across SDR, radar, EW, and secure communications technologies within a multidisciplinary team.
• Lead analysis of RF system behavior and develop approaches to improve performance in contested environments.
• Collaborate with RF, software, hardware, cybersecurity, and systems engineers on program milestones.
