Job summary

Secmation is seeking an experienced RF/EW engineer to join a mission-focused team delivering next-generation secure RF systems for national defense. You will work hands-on across SDR, radar, and secure communications, from waveform design to system integration and field demonstrations.

The role requires 8+ years in RF systems or EW, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and hands-on experience with SDR platforms and MATLAB/Python for RF analysis.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of RF systems, communications engineering, SDR, radar, EW, or related field.
• Hands-on RF system development from design through deployment.
• Experience with SDR frameworks such as GNU Radio, REDHAWK, USRP/UHD, Epiq.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python for RF modeling, simulation, or data analysis.
• Experience with C/C++ for embedded or systems-level applications.
• Experience with HWIL testing, field demonstrations, and system integration.
• Experience with tactical communications, SATCOM, resilient networking, radar, RF sensing, or EW systems.
• Ability to lead analysis and improve performance in contested RF environments; strong technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF technologies for defense missions, including field demonstrations.
• Model, integrate, and test RF systems across HWIL and field testing.
• Collaborate with RF, software, hardware, cybersecurity, and systems engineers.
• Contribute to waveform design, modulation, coding, and DSP tradeoffs.
• Support system integration and customer demonstrations.
