Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior RF Spectrum Engineer to support spectrum management across DoD, IC, and civil clients. You will perform interference analysis, guide spectrum-driven design decisions, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders in pursuit of compliant, high-performance systems.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 8+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Travel <10% and leadership experience are expected. The role is onsite at multiple locations including Chantilly, VA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Knowledge of ITU, NTIA or FCC spectrum management processes.
  • Knowledge of RF communications systems and architectures.
  • Project development experience and ability to lead small teams of engineers.
  • Ability to present results effectively in briefings and technical reports.
  • Some travel, approximately less than 10%.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radio frequency interference analysis and modeling of communications systems to evaluate spectrum sharing strategies and avoid harmful interference.
  • Guide program design decisions to ensure regulatory compliance with RF spectrum regulations.
  • Support programs through spectrum registration and coordination processes.
  • Coordinate with program offices, federal spectrum agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior employees in spectrum management and engineering.
